To determine the size of your shade, measure across the top, across the bottom, and straight up and down; making sure that the shade is on a flat surface. If the fitting is not flush with the top of the shade, measure the drop with the shade upside-down.
Fitting:
The fittings available are candle clip, clip, washer top, chimney, and uno. Candle clips are commonly seen on chandeliers and lamps using candle flame light bulbs. Regular clip shades fit on regular size light bulbs. Washer tops drop over the top of a harp and are held in place with a finial. Lampshades with a chimney fitting slide down the glass globe of a converted oil lamp. Uno shades screw directly onto the electric socket of a lamp, usually a standing lamp or a wall lamp.
